YouTube does not always show another channel’s full tag list in the public UI. When you have tags — from your own Studio, from an export, or from a snippet you were given — this extractor splits, deduplicates, and sorts them so you can see the pattern.
It is a hygiene and research tool. It is not a stealth scraper. We do not log into YouTube on your behalf or bypass access controls.
How to use this tool
- Paste a comma-separated or line-separated tag blob.
- Extract to see unique tags and character total.
- Export a cleaned list for your own video only if the tags still match your footage.
- Drop anything off-topic.
Ethical competitor research
Look at how tags are grouped: exact title phrase, product family, then category. Copy the structure, not the celebrity bait. If a competitor ranks, it is usually the video and packaging, not a magic hidden tag.
Professional notes
- Keep a library of your own best-performing videos’ tags as the real baseline.
- If you use the YouTube API on your own videos, paste the tags.snippet list here to clean it.
